About The Role!
Working closely with the practice's Competition partner, you'll join a highly regarded Corporate & Commercial team with a genuine opportunity to build deep technical expertise across the full spectrum of competition and consumer law.
Managing complex competition issues in transactions, including merger filings and regulator engagement
Drafting key provisions in commercial agreements and engaging directly with clients
Assessing competition risk in transactions and advising on practical strategies to manage it
Assisting clients in responding to regulatory notices
Advising on risk under Part IV of the Competition and Consumer Act and practical mitigation strategies
Working collaboratively with the broader corporate and disputes teams on key documents and matters
Developing client relationships and contributing to business development
Mentoring junior colleagues
What You'll Bring!
5+ years PAE gained within a reputable Competition & Consumer practice
Strong analytical, drafting and communication skills
Experience advising on commercial, regulatory or competition-related matters
The ability to deliver commercially astute and pragmatic legal advice
Strong relationship management skills and a client-focused mindset
A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in contributing to a growing practice
The ability to work autonomously while mentoring and supporting junior team members
A desire to build a long-term career within a leading national Corporate & Commercial team
