is seeking an experienced and motivated Facility Manager to lead the launch, operations, people, programs, and customer experience at our exciting new aquatic venue in Carindale.
This is a unique opportunity to join the Rackley Swimming network at the beginning of an exciting new chapter. As the Facility Manager of our
brand-new Rackley Swimming Carindale
venue, you will play a key role in establishing the facility, building a high-performing team, developing strong community connections, and creating an exceptional customer experience from day one.
As part of the City Venue Management (CVM) network, Rackley Swimming Carindale will play an important role in connecting people through swimming, health, recreation, and community engagement. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, developing high-performing teams, and establishing operational excellence within a brand-new facility.
About the Role
As Facility Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, launch, and performance of the new Rackley Swimming Carindale venue, ensuring the facility opens and operates safely, efficiently, and in line with organisational objectives.
You will have the opportunity to help shape the culture, systems, customer experience, and community presence of the venue from the ground up. Working alongside the broader CVM and Rackley Swimming leadership teams, you will lead a dedicated team while driving participation, community engagement, swim school growth, and commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the establishment and ongoing operation of a brand-new aquatic facility
Recruit, lead, develop, and inspire a diverse team across operations, swim school, customer service, and aquatic programs
Help establish a strong workplace culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, and service excellence




Oversee the day-to-day management of the facility, ensuring a safe, clean, welcoming, and exceptional environment for all patrons
Drive membership, program participation, and swim school growth through exceptional customer service and community engagement
Build the venue's presence within the Carindale community and establish strong relationships with local schools, community groups, stakeholders, and customers
Manage budgets, financial performance, reporting, and operational planning
Ensure compliance with all legislative, safety, risk management, and child safeguarding requirements
Establish and maintain high standards of pool plant operations, facility presentation, and asset management
Contribute to the development and implementation of systems, processes, and operational procedures for the new venue
Foster continuous improvement and ensure the facility delivers against key operational, customer, participation, and commercial objectives
About You
You are a proactive, people-focused leader who is excited by the opportunity to build something new. You enjoy balancing strategic thinking with hands-on operational management and have the energy and initiative to establish a successful venue from the ground up.
You have a proven ability to lead teams, build community connections, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and create a positive and accountable workplace culture.
Ideally, you will bring:
Experience managing an aquatic, leisure, recreation, or community facility
Strong leadership and team development skillsDemonstrated experience managing operational and financial performance




Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
A customer-first mindset with a passion for community participation and service excellence
The ability to establish strong teams, systems, and processes in a new or developing environment
The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a broader organisational network
A genuine enthusiasm for being part of the launch and growth of a brand-recent community facility
What You'll Need
Current Swim Teacher and Water Safety qualification
First Aid & CPR certifications
Valid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
Pool Plant Operator certification (or willingness to obtain)
