Track & Civil Engineer
with sound
OpenRail Designer
experience to join our Design & Delivery Organisation's Victorian & Tasmanian Rail team.
Reporting to the Team Leader, you'll play a key role in delivering a diverse range of rail projects and will be involved in:
Delivering track and civil design solutions across a variety of rail infrastructure projects, from concept development through to detailed design and construction support.
Developing rail alignments, yard layouts, turnout arrangements, drainage, earthworks and corridor infrastructure using Bentley OpenRail Designer.
Preparing design models, calculations, technical reports and design documentation.
Maintaining and strengthening GHD's critical OpenRail Designer capability required for rail design, model production and project delivery continuity.
Contributing to OpenRail digital engineering workflows, standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including structures, geotechnical, drainage, signalling, communications and systems specialists.
Supporting and mentoring graduate and early career engineers as part of a collaborative and high-performing team.
What would you bring to the team?
Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 3 years' experience in rail track and civil engineering and design.
Demonstrated experience using Bentley OpenRail Designer on rail infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of rail track geometry, corridor infrastructure, drainage, formation design and civil interfaces.




Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to project delivery.
Victorian or Australian rail project experience and progress towards CPEng, RPEV or similar skilled registration will be highly regarded.
