About the Role

The City of Subiaco is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Officer to join our team on a full-time maximum term 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening procurement and contract management practices while supporting the City's ongoing transformation and continuous improvement agenda. You will also play a key role in the ongoing development and improvement of the City's procurement frameworks, systems, processes and documentation, ensuring they remain practical, compliant and aligned with organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Providing advice and guidance on efficient, effective and compliant procurement practices.
Supporting procurement activities including Requests for Tender, Requests for Quotation and contract awards.
Providing advice on contract management, including performance monitoring, variations and extensions.
Monitoring market trends and procurement best practice to inform effective approaches.
Analysing internal procurement trends and data to identify opportunities for improved outcomes.
Maintaining and improving procurement and contract management processes, documentation and templates.
Ensuring procurement resources are practical, user-friendly, compliant and designed to attract quality suppliers and manage contemporary risks.
Maintaining the procurement section of the staff intranet.
Facilitating access to procurement and contract management training.
Supporting appropriate procurement and contract record-keeping practices.
Developing and conducting procurement audits to support compliance.
Gathering stakeholder feedback to inform improvements to procurement processes, systems and templates.
Supporting the delivery of a pipeline of procurement improvements and new ERP capabilities.
Supporting the successful implementation of improvements through communication, updated documentation and training.
Promoting a culture of excellent internal customer service and continuous improvement.
Upholding and demonstrating the City's values and behaviours.

Essential Requirements
Proven experience improving procurement and contract management outcomes.
Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining high-quality documentation and providing procurement support.
Experience supporting organisational change and implementing improvements.
Well-developed written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A proactive approach to continuous improvement and delivering practical solutions
Desirable
Experience using TechnologyOne (ERP).
Experience working in Local Government procurement.
Relevant qualifications in procurement or a related discipline
Salary Package
In line with the City of Subiaco Inside Staff Industrial Agreement ****, this position is classified as a Level 7. The salary range is $114,****** to $123,****** per annum, exclusive of superannuation.
