About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Venue Manager
to join Mandoon Estate on a
full-time basis
. This is a pivotal leadership position responsible for the overall management and operation of our venue. The Venue Manager will oversee all aspects of venue operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, maintaining high standards of hospitality, and driving revenue growth. You will be the key decisionmaker for day-to-day operations and will play a crucial role in achieving our business objectives whilst creating a positive workplace for both staff and guests.
Key responsibilities
Oversee all day-to-day operations of the venue, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security protocols
Manage and supervise venue staff, including recruitment, training, rostering, and performance management
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and licensing requirements
Develop and implement strategies to maximise venue revenue and profitability
Manage budgets, control costs, and monitor budget performance against targets
Maintain and coordinate maintenance of the venue, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal condition
Deliver exceptional customer service and handle guest relations and complaint resolution
Coordinate events, functions,
and special occasions, ensuring seamless execution
Lead marketing and promotional initiatives to increase venue visibility and attract new customers
What we're looking for
Proven experience in venue management, hospitality management, or a similar leadership role within the hospitality and tourism sector
Robust knowledge of hospitality operations, customer service standards, and industry best practices
Excellent financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, analyse P&L; statements, and drive profitability
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, manage, and develop diverse teams
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with guests and staff
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing operational challenges
Knowledge of health and safety regulations, licensing requirements, and compliance standards relevant to hospitality venues
Proficiency in venue management booking systems, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
A passion for hospitality, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Preferred: Experience with event coordination, marketing, and revenue management in a hospitality setting

About Mandoon Estate
Mandoon Estate was established by the Erceg family in ****, after having purchased the historical 'Roe Family property' in Caversham, Swan Valley.
This property had been in the hands of the Roe family since settlement in the ****'s by their late forefather, the Swan River Colonies First Surveyor General, John Septimus Roe. It is the desire of Mandoon Estate to preserve the cultural and historical heritage of this property as well as demonstrate the full potential of the Swan Valley as a significant Wine producing region.
The Mandoon Estate winery was established in **** in the Swan Valley with wines being produced under the guidance of Ryan Sudano (Senior Winemaker).
