Front of House Bistro
team member to join our hospitality team in Paxton, NSW. This is a
part time position
(negotiable) that offers flexibility whilst delivering exceptional service to our guests. As Front of House staff, you will be the face of our bistro, creating memorable dining experiences through professional, welcoming and attentive service. This role is essential to our business, as you will be instrumental in building our reputation for hospitality excellence and ensuring every guest leaves with a positive impression. Our food offering is above average, gaining momentum amongst both locals and visitors
What you'll be doing
Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and seating them in accordance with bistro procedures
Taking food and beverage orders accurately and inputting them into the point-of-sale system
Providing knowledgeable recommendations about menu items, specials and beverages to enhance the dining experience
Serving food and drinks with professionalism, ensuring plates are presented correctly and orders are delivered promptly
Clearing tables efficiently and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area
Processing payments and handling cash and card transactions accurately
Responding to guest requests and concerns with courtesy and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction
Communicating effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
Maintaining awareness of food allergies, dietary requirements and health and safety protocols
Assisting with general bistro duties including restocking supplies, setting up dining areas both pre & post service
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a front-of-house or waiting staff role, preferably in a bistro, restaurant or similar hospitality venue
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests in a friendly and professional manner
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously during service periods
A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette
Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
Competency in using point-of-sale systems and hospitality technology
A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and creating positive guest interactions
Current or willingness to obtain RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification is highly desirable
