Open Space Maintenance's role is to provide maintenance services to ensure that parks and recreational facilities are maintained to a high standard and meet agreed levels of service with the Asset Custodians via Partnering Agreements. These maintenance operations are achieved through Area Coordinators, including the planning and implementation of maintenance programs for streetscapes, parklands, sporting fields, and roadsides. We also provide professional advice to various customers on the construction and maintenance of park infrastructure, open space areas and roadsides.
About the role
Based at the Coombabah and Pimpama depots, the Open Space Maintenance Officer is responsible for providing essential operational support to Supervisors and Coordinators within Open Space Maintenance by undertaking non safety-related administrative and compliance-based tasks.
The incumbent will also be responsible for undertaking maintenance operation and improvement administration, including data gathering and analysis tasks, to improve our level of service delivery for Asset Custodians and residents.
Coordinating and tracking licence and certification renewals (e.g. AC/DC WIPT).
Managing and maintaining training/inductions records and assisting in scheduling refresher training.
Facilitating and monitoring fleet and plant servicing and maintenance schedules for minor equipment.
Procuring and tracking PPE, uniforms, and operational consumables through stores and external providers.
Capturing and entering data into SAP asset systems,



GIS platforms, and maintenance databases.
Supporting contract compliance and audit preparation on completed works.
Conducting and documenting temporary access inspections for external asset users.
Assisting with documentation and follow-up for risk assessment compliance in conjunction with BAOs.
Maintaining registers and reports for regulatory and internal compliance.
Attending to park access requests and lock changes.
Although this position is based at the Coombabah and Pimpama depots, there is a requirement to remain flexible to work out of any location across the City.
We're looking for people who have:
Relevant qualification, knowledge, or experience in business or administration
Demonstrated experience in a similar administration role
Sound understanding of Microsoft Suite including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel
Experience using SAP or equivalent program is highly regarded
C Class Drivers Licence (Unrestricted)
General Construction Induction Card (White)
