Allied Health Assistant Grade 2 - Casual
Grampians Health is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Casual Allied Health Assistants to join our multidisciplinary Allied Health team based in Horsham. This position offers flexible casual employment across a variety of clinical settings and is particularly suited to students who have completed at least two years of an undergraduate Allied Health or Health Science degree.
As an Allied Health Assistant, you'll work alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and other Allied Health professionals, supporting the delivery of high-quality care across inpatient, community and aged care services. You'll assist with therapy programs, rehabilitation activities, group sessions, equipment management and a range of clinical and administrative tasks.
About the Role
As a Casual Allied Health Assistant, you will work under the delegation and supervision of Allied Health Professionals to support therapy and rehabilitation programs. You may work across a variety of services and will:
Assist with individual and group therapy programs.
Support patient mobility, rehabilitation and functional activities.
Work with patients across inpatient, outpatient, community and residential aged care settings.
Assist with therapy equipment and clinical resource management.
Support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
Contribute to a multidisciplinary team setting.
This role offers exposure to a broad range of Allied Health services and is an excellent opportunity to develop clinical skills and experience within a regional healthcare setting.
About You
You will bring:
Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, or have completed the first two years of an undergraduate Allied Health degree such as Physiotherapy,
Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Exercise Physiology, Podiatry, Dietetics, or a related discipline.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to person-centred care and teamwork.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
