AXT Pty Ltd is looking for a reliable, organised and hands‐on person to support our Supply Chain team in Western Australia.
This is a casual role, initially around 3 days per week, with flexibility around days and hours.
The position involves a mix of packing orders, receiving stock, organising deliveries and general administration. You don't need to be a logistics expert. We are looking for someone dependable, comfortable using a computer, willing to learn and happy to help wherever needed.
What You'll Be Doing
Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch
Making sure urgent orders are packed and sent on time
Booking couriers and organising deliveries
Receiving and checking incoming stock and customer equipment
Helping keep stock organised and records up to date
Entering basic information into our systems
Keeping the dispatch and stock area tidy and organised
Following up deliveries or shipments when required
Communicating with our Supply Chain team
Helping with other general logistics and administrative tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
You don't need extensive logistics or warehouse experience. We're more interested in finding someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
You'll ideally be:
Reliable and punctual
Organised with good attention to detail
Comfortable working independently
Confident with basic computer and administration tasks
Happy doing a combination of hands‐on and office‐based work
Able to manage your time and prioritise tasks
Friendly and comfortable communicating with other team members and courier companies
Willing to learn AXT's systems and processes
Physical Requirements
As the role includes packing, moving and receiving goods, you will need to be
physically capable of carrying out the manual handling requirements including lifting equipment and machinery using our safe manual handling procedures.
A pre‐employment health assessment
will be required to confirm your ability to safely perform the inherent requirements of the role.
Experience
Previous experience in any of the following would be helpful, but is not essential:
Dispatch or warehousing
Retail or stock handling
Administration
Freight or courier bookings
Order processing
Inventory or stores work
ERP or inventory systems
A forklift licence would be helpful but is not required.
Training will be provided on AXT's systems and processes.
Casual position with flexible working hours
Requirement for approximately 3 days per week
Hours of operation between 9:00am to 3:00pm or school hours
Flexibility working days and hours
