OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking people with experience in FinOps / Cloud Cost Management to assist our clients to transform their ways of working and maximise the business value of their cloud investment. This important role is responsible for implementing/managing public cloud cost governance, driving organisational change and guiding new projects to adopt cloud offerings in a cost-efficient manner. Success in the role will deliver savings and other business optimisations for Group 10 clients. If you have a background in cloud technology, finance or operations, we want to hear from you!
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING




Engaging with client stakeholders and project areas to advise on cloud cost governance including cost optimisation best practices, cost estimation and cost management
Analysing technical designs to forecast cloud workload costs
Monitoring and analysing consumption data within cloud tools to proactively understand and manage costs
Establishing cloud native processes for FinOps capabilities such as workload onboarding, cost attribution and cost visibility
Managing invoices, purchase orders and cost journalling
Reporting the financial and other business benefits of the above activities
Contributing to initiatives that develop our company profile and team in this growing field
What we're looking for
Understanding of the FinOps Framework and Principles
Knowledge of Azure and AWS foundational architectures
Experience with Azure and/or AWS cost management and reporting platforms such as Azure Cost Management, Azure Advisor, AWS Cost Explorer
Basic understanding of optimisation opportunities using on-premise entitlements in cloud (e.g., Azure Hybrid Benefit, BYOSL)
Good customer engagement skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues
Experience developingreports, analysing data, and developing recommendations
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS
This role requires Australian Citizenship and ideally a Federal Government Security Clearance. Preference may be given to applicants with an active clearance.
