The opportunity
Are you the accountant who asks why a reconciliation takes so long, questions a manual workaround or spots the same issue recurring each month?
This opportunity will suit a Senior Accountant or experienced Financial Accountant who enjoys getting beneath the numbers and wants to take greater ownership of improvement.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work closely with finance and technology teams to understand how processes operate, identify the causes of inefficiency and implement practical solutions. Your initial focus will be revenue and receivables, with scope to contribute to projects across the wider finance function.




You will follow processes from beginning to end, listen to the people doing the work and help turn recommendations into changes that stick.
The role
Investigate finance workflows, reconciliations and controls, identifying root causes, recurring issues and opportunities to reduce manual effort.
Deliver practical process and system improvements, working with finance and technology stakeholders to strengthen accuracy, efficiency and automation.
Help teams adopt new ways of working through clear documentation, communication and training, while tracking delivery and measuring results.
About you
You bring a solid grounding in financial accounting, sound judgement and a naturally inquisitive approach. You may be an established Senior Accountant seeking broader scope, or a Financial Accountant who has already become the person colleagues turn to when something needs fixing.
You are comfortable working through detail, asking thoughtful questions and challenging an existing process constructively. You can explain an issue clearly, build relationships across teams and stay involved until the solution is working.
Experience improving reconciliations, reporting, revenue processes or finance systems will be valuable. Exposure to a complex, multi-site or regulated organisation would also be useful, alongside CA/CPA qualifications or progress towards completion.
Above all, you have an appetite for change and the initiative to make it happen.
