You'll work under the supervision of qualified clinicians, delivering therapy programs for children and adults alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Exercise Physiologists, Behaviour Support Practitioners, Dietitians, Podiatrists, and Registered Nurses. If you're an experienced Allied Health Assistant, this is a role with room to grow. If you're coming from teaching, childcare, health or disability support, your experience counts here too.
What You'll Be Doing
Assisting clinicians to deliver individual and group-based therapy programs
Implementing treatment plans under the supervision of qualified allied health professionals
Supporting clients to reach their therapy goals and build independence
Preparing therapy resources and treatment environments
Completing progress notes and maintaining accurate clinical documentation
Building positive relationships with clients, families, carers and key stakeholders, and working with clinicians across multiple disciplines
IDEALLY, YOU'LL HAVE
A Certificate III or Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
Around 2 to 4 years' experience as an Allied Health Assistant or in a similar support role
Experience supporting allied health clinicians in a healthcare, disability or community setting
A strong understanding of person-centred care and evidence-based practice
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Robust organisational and time management skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
A current driver's licence and access to a vehicle
A Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
Australian citizenship or permanent residency
