We are partnering with a prominent Federal Government Department to recruit APS5 Investigations Officers and an APS6 Senior Investigations Officer for 12-month placements in Canberra.
The Snapshot
Location: Canberra ACT (Flexible/hybrid working available)
Salary:
APS5: $82,336 - $90,234 + Super
APS6: $91,140 - $102,152 + Super
Contract: 12 Months (Initial engagement with potential extension up to 18 months total)
Start Date: 2 November ****
Clearance: Active Baseline Security Clearance required
What You'll Be Doing
Working within a dedicated Compliance & Legal branch, you will:
Conduct complex regulatory and compliance investigations under federal legislation.
Gather evidence, record interviews,
and draft comprehensive briefs of evidence.
Prepare clear, concise investigation reports and executive briefings.
APS6 Level:
Take the lead on complex matters, mentor junior staff, and provide high-level strategic support.
What We Need From You
Experience: Proven track record in compliance, regulation, or administrative law investigations.
Skills:
Solid statutory interpretation skills and top-tier report writing.
Citizenship & Security: Australian Citizen with a Baseline Security Clearance and National Police Check.
Impartiality: Ability to sign a mandatory declaration maintaining strict political neutrality and public impartiality during your tenure.
