Role Description
The Driller role is a on-site position based in the northern end of the Bowen Basin, QLD. The Driller will operate and maintain heavy drilling equipment, conduct drilling operations to specified depths and angles, and follow project plans and site instructions. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and demobilising rigs, monitoring drilling performance, performing routine inspections, and identifying potential equipment issues. The Driller will collaborate with supervisors and other site personnel to ensure safe work practices,



compliance with relevant standards, and accurate documentation of drilling activities.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience working with heavy equipment and drilling machinery, including setup, operation, and basic maintenance.
Proven skills in drilling operations and directional drilling, with the ability to follow technical plans and achieve precise drilling targets.
Competence in inspection and equipment checks, including identifying wear, defects, and safety hazards and reporting or resolving issues promptly.
Previous experience with blast hole drills and an understanding of industry-specific safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
Relevant trade qualification or certification in drilling, heavy equipment operation, or a related field (e.g., Certificate III or IV in Drilling Operations) preferred.
Robust commitment to workplace health and safety, including adherence to site procedures, risk assessments, and safe work methods.
Ability to work in a team-focused environment, communicate clearly with supervisors and crew members, and follow instructions accurately.
Willingness to work shift rosters, including nights and weekends if required, and to perform physically demanding tasks in varying site conditions.
