We're looking for an experienced Centre Manager to lead one of our Little Locals communities. About you:
You're an experienced early childhood leader who knows that strong leadership is about more than managing the day-to-day. You lead with confidence, care and consistency, build robust relationships with your team and families, and aren't afraid to get involved and support where needed.
Most importantly, you demonstrate a strong commitment to child safety and understand the important role leaders play in creating and maintaining a child-safe culture. You lead by example, support educators to understand their responsibilities, and ensure children's safety, wellbeing and best interests remain central to everyday practice and decision-making.
You'll bring a collaborative and inclusive leadership style, with the ability to guide, develop and empower educators to do their best work.
What you'll bring:
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
Previous experience in a Centre Manager role
Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standard and National Regulations
An understanding of the Assessment and Rating process
A demonstrated commitment to child safety, wellbeing and creating a child-safe culture
Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
The ability to build positive relationships with children, families and educators
A current Working with Children Check/Blue Card, or ability to obtain one
The Role:
As Centre Manager, you'll lead the overall operation of the service and work closely with your management team, educators and Senior Managers to create a positive, high-performing centre.
Responsibilities:
Leading, supporting and developing your team and creating a positive workplace culture
Championing a strong child-safe culture and ensuring child safety is embedded in everyday practice, decision-making and leadership
Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the centre, including staffing, rostering, enrolments and occupancy
Maintaining high standards of compliance, supervision, health, safety and wellbeing
Supporting quality educational practice and continuous improvement across the service
Building genuine, positive relationships with children and families
Supporting educators to grow in their roles and contribute to the success of the centre
Ensuring the service meets regulatory requirements and maintains strong standards across the National Quality Standard
Working collaboratively with the wider Little Locals team to achieve centre and organisational goals
