Fixed term, full-time role earning $116,413 - $140,849 per year, plus super.
What you will do
As Senior Policy Officer, you will provide clear policy and governance advice across the Attorney-General's portfolio.
You will help develop policy, support key justice bodies and prepare advice and documents for senior decision-makers.
You will:
prepare
complex
cabinet,
parliamentary and ministerial documents and correspondence
develop and implement
practical
policy proposals, programs and initiatives across the Attorney-General's portfolio
provide
clear and informed
advice on policy, performance and justice system reform issues
work with justice system partners to deliver
effective
policy and reform projects
build and maintain
solid
working relationships while supporting a positive and inclusive team.
About you
A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable. You should also have knowledge of policy development, implementation or law.
You should also have:
sound knowledge
of Victorian Government processes and policy development
experience in
governance, financial reporting or performance reporting
strong policy skills, with the ability to develop
clear options and recommendations
the ability to assess complex issues, build support for ideas and provide
clear advice
.
