Make a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of women living across rural and remote Far North Queensland. As the Clinical Nurse Consultant (Mobile Women's Health), you will deliver expert outreach services, including cervical screening, health promotion, education and counselling. Working closely with communities and health partners, you will provide culturally safe, woman-centred care and help improve health outcomes for women with diverse and complex needs.

About us:
Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service provide an extensive range of health services at more than 30 regional, rural and remote facilities across a geographical area of 142,900 square kilometres. The Health Service is 95 percent self-sufficient with only a small number of high-level acute services being provided in Townsville and Brisbane.
The Health Service is the primary provider of health services to residents of the Cairns, Tablelands and Cassowary Coast regions with a population of over 250,000 people, as well as providing specialist services to the Torres Strait and Cape York region. Cairns Hospital is the primary referral hospital for Far North Queensland.
About your prospect:
In this position you will...
Delivery a safe and sustainable cervical screening test (CST) service across these communities, including creation of efficient results communiction and creation of accurate recall systems.




Lead and coordinate quality improvement and evidence-based practice activities to ensure the provision of quality, cost-effective nursing services.
Deliver women's health preventative care and education in a variety of community settings across Cairns and Hinterland Hospital Health Service, including gardisil vaccination.
Provide effective communication, consultation and negotiation throughout the service to ensure the involvement of stakeholders.
