We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical, electrical, structural and instrumentation works on a major water infrastructure project.
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will lead and coordinate construction activities across multiple disciplines, providing direction and support to Superintendents and Supervisors to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong construction management experience, the ability to coordinate multiple work fronts and a proactive approach to planning, problem-solving and project delivery.
Key responsibilities
Lead and oversee day-to-day construction activities across mechanical, electrical, structural and instrumentation scopes.
Manage and support Superintendents and Supervisors, ensuring explicit direction, accountability and performance expectations.
Coordinate workforce, subcontractors, equipment and resources to meet project requirements and construction schedules.
Work closely with the Project Manager to plan, monitor and report on construction progress, productivity and project milestones.
Identify and address construction challenges,



potential delays and resource constraints to maintain project delivery.
Oversee construction planning, work sequencing and coordination between disciplines to ensure efficient execution of works.
Support the Project Manager with commercial matters, including progress claims, variations, delays and extensions of time.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors and other project stakeholders to maintain effective communication and coordination.
Drive compliance with HSE requirements, including risk assessments, critical controls, safety inspections and incident investigations.
Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to site teams, promoting a positive safety culture and continuous improvement.
About you
Demonstrated experience in a Construction Manager or senior construction leadership role on major infrastructure projects.
Strong experience delivering mechanical, electrical, structural and instrumentation scopes, preferably within water infrastructure.
Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary construction teams, including Superintendents, Supervisors and subcontractors.
Sound understanding of construction planning, scheduling, resource management and project delivery.
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.




Ability to identify and resolve construction challenges while maintaining safety, quality and productivity.
Sound understanding of HSE requirements and risk management within construction environments.
Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications in construction, engineering or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Qualification (Exam + Units) - Highly Desirable
