65-bed specialist rehabilitation facility
conveniently located adjacent to the Westmead Health Precinct and only minutes from Parramatta CBD. Our hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and day rehabilitation programs, including both individual and group-based therapy, across a diverse rehabilitation caseload including:
Neurological and Trauma Rehabilitation
Orthopaedic Rehabilitation
Geriatric and Reconditioning Programs

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced
Dietitian
to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. This permanent part-time position offers
30 hours per fortnight (2 days per week)
, with a preferred working arrangement of
Mondays and one additional day (negotiable).
As the sole Dietitian at Westmead Rehabilitation Hospital, you will play a key role in optimising nutritional outcomes for our patients while working closely with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team including Rehabilitation Physicians, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Discharge planner.
Key Responsibilities
Provision of comprehensive nutritional assessment, intervention and monitoring for rehabilitation inpatients and day rehabilitation patients on referral bases.
Management of patients with a broad range of nutritional needs, including enteral feeding and complex medical conditions.
Participation in multidisciplinary team meetings, goal setting and discharge planning.
Collaboration with Speech Pathology, Nursing and Catering Services regarding menu modifications and nutritional management.
Participation in quality improvement, accreditation and service development activities.
Supporting the ongoing growth and enhancement of dietetic services within the hospital.
Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics eligible for Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status.
Current membership with Dietitians Australia.
Minimum three years' clinical experience within a hospital setting.
Demonstrated experience managing complex nutritional needs including enteral feeding.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and report writing skills.
Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage a diverse caseload.
Commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
