We are looking for an experienced and confident Maître D / Shift Supervisor to join our team and help lead the front-of-house operations.
This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys working with customers, leading a team and ensuring smooth service during busy periods.
Key responsibilities:
Welcome and greet guests and provide a friendly, professional first impression
Manage guest seating, reservations and table allocation
Coordinate front‐of‐house operations throughout each shift
Supervise and support waitstaff and other front‐of‐house team members
Allocate duties and ensure the team is prepared for service
Monitor service standards and ensure customers receive excellent service
Assist with resolving customer concerns or complaints professionally
Communicate effectively with kitchen and front‐of‐house staff
Monitor the flow of service and assist the team during busy periods
Open and/or close the venue as required
Ensure workplace,



food safety and company procedures are followed
Support staff training and provide guidance to team members
Assist with cash handling, end‐of‐shift procedures and general venue duties
Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming front‐of‐house environment
About you:
Previous experience in a restaurant, café, bar or hospitality supervisory role
Strong customer service and communication skills
Confident leading and supporting a team
Able to remain calm and organised in a fast‐paced environment
Professional, reliable and well‐presented
Strong attention to detail
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
RSA or other relevant hospitality qualifications are desirable
