If you are a commercially driven sales leader who loves the thrill of the hunt as much as developing a established functioning team, this is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a charter portfolio with immense growth potential.
Based out of our Kunda Park depot and reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead our charter division across Queensland. This isn't a pure road-based business development role, nor is it a back-office administration post. Its office based commercial leadership, built around three explicit functions:
40% Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and drive performance across an established team of three Charter Coordinators (two based locally at Kunda Park, one in Rockhampton). They already manage inbound enquiries, quoting, and client servicing. Your role is to set clear call activity KPIs, coach conversion techniques, and keep energy high.
40% Proactive Business Development & Account Recovery:
You won't be cold calling on industrial estates. We have years of deep customer data and known historical accounts across schools, tourism, corporate clients, and major events. We need someone with the commercial drive to re-engage dormant clients, identify why accounts have reduced their spend, and win that revenue back into the business.
20% Operational Alignment & Service Delivery:
A charter sale is only as good as the journey delivered. You will work side-by-side with our depot operations and fleet teams, ensuring service promises are kept, holding teams mutually accountable, and stepping in quickly if operational bottlenecks arise.
What You'll Bring
Proven Sales Leadership: Experience managing a sales, bookings, or inbound customer service team with clear activity and conversion KPIs.
Proactive Account Recovery & Growth: A track record of digging into data, engaging lapsed clients,



and driving outbound sales from an office base.
Commercial Operational Acumen: Ability to work in effectively with operations, or scheduling teams to protect service quality.
Industry Background: Direct experience in passenger transport or bus operations is ideal, but we strongly welcome commercial backgrounds across cruise, aviation, travel/tourism, or high-volume freight logistics.
High EQ & Accountability: Strong interpersonal skills to advocate for clients while collaborating constructively with depot operations.
