As our Business Banking portfolio continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Business Banking Support Officer to join our team in a permanent, full-time role.
Reporting to the Business Banking Operations Manager, this role can be based at our Perth, Brisbane or Coffs Harbour offices.
About the role
Primarily responsible for processing of Business Banking work requests across multiple brands, jurisdictions and geographies including loans processing, account opening and account maintenance tasks.
You will work closely with Business Banking Relationship Managers and Assistant Relationship Managers as well as both internal and external customers.
Supporting and promoting a shared service model, provide an exceptional service experience for our Business Banking members and frontline colleagues.
Responsibilities include:
Administration
Managing and prioritising email mailboxes, WMS case management, scanning and indexing relevant to role.
Updating and verifying Core Banking Systems including account creation/maintenance.
Managing documentation and registrable Land Registry documents returned via solicitors. General reporting maintenance.
Creating, updating and managing periodic reviews of relevant Business Banking processes in ProMapp.
3rd Party Service
Liaising with various internal, external and third party Stakeholders on tasks such as managing settlements/ PEXA workspaces, validating loan disbursements and payout figures, following up on delays, rework and general transactional management.
Liaison with law firms, valuation firms as appropriate as well as managing the processing of Progress Payments with building companies.
Documentation management, collection, validation and lodgement
Assist with the collation, validation and lodgement of various documents (Business Loan, Home Loan and Consumer). This could include but is not limited to: Certificate of Titles, Priority Deeds, Consents, Letters of Acceptance & Variation, Security/Loan Documents, extraction of mortgage documents, Mortgage and Discharge of Mortgages.
Assisting Colleagues/Back up processing support
Providing on the job training and assistance to colleagues as required.
Back up support to mainstream retail Securities and Funding teams processing.
Process Improvement
Completion of various process improvement and change initiatives that could include but not limited to: Input to various related project working groups, delivery of change in an Agile environment,



system testing including the development of tests plans and process change including the development and update of Promapp.
Compliance
Conduct post funding hindsight review
Understand the risk and consequences of not complying with the processes, procedures, codes of practice, legislation and acts relevant to your area of the business.
Report all operational risk incidents, compliance and occupational health and safety breaches of potential events and breaches you become aware of.
What you'll bring
Proven experience in a business banking support role
Strong experience in a back-office operational environment
Previous experience within a financial institution with a background in loans processing preferred
Ability to work in a high paced team environment, customer service skills, computer literacy, strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve
Sound understanding of operational risk, regulatory compliance and workplace health and safety requirements
Experience using banking, lending, workflow or customer relationship management systems is desirable; familiarity with platforms such as nCino or Salesforce would be advantageous
A strong commitment to the secure handling of confidential customer information
Strong ability to communicate and negotiate effective outcomes with stakeholders and third parties.
