The role
Initially,



your responsibilities will include a combination of junior accounting and client/practice support, including:
Assisting with preparation of individual income tax returns
Preparing BAS and basic bookkeeping work
Assisting with payroll and related compliance
Assisting with preparation of financial statements and business tax returns
ATO and ASIC administration
Preparing and sending client documents for electronic signature
Preparing invoices and processing client payments
Managing client documents and electronic filing
Following up clients for information and outstanding documents
Communicating with clients by phone and email
Assisting the accounting team with workflow and ensuring jobs continue moving through the practice
As your skills and confidence develop, we expect the role to progressively involve more accounting, taxation and direct client responsibility.
About you
We're particularly interested in finding someone who is:
Currently studying or recently completed an accounting or business-related degree
Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
Reliable and takes ownership of their work
Friendly, confident and comfortable communicating with clients
Accurate with strong attention to detail
Comfortable asking questions and keen to learn
Confident with technology and learning recent software




Happy to work across both accounting and administrative tasks
Someone who takes initiative rather than always waiting for the next task
Interested in developing a long-term career in accounting
Previous experience in an accounting practice would be helpful but
is not essential

Experience with HandiSoft, Xero, MYOB, BGL360 or DocuSign would be an advantage but is not required.
