Empowering Therapy | Northern Rivers NSW | Full-time or Part-time
Are you an Occupational Therapist looking for a flexible, supportive role where you can develop your clinical skills, work autonomously and maintain a genuine work-life balance?
Empowering Therapy is a small, community-based Occupational Therapy service supporting NDIS and Support at Home participants across the Northern Rivers.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team. We welcome applications from experienced OTs as well as new and recent graduates.
This role offers the opportunity to work primarily from your home office, while providing Occupational Therapy services to clients in their own homes and community environments.
We recognise that every clinician is at a different stage of their career. The level of supervision, mentoring and support provided will be tailored to your experience, interests and individual learning needs.
What we offer
Flexible work from home arrangement, with travel to clients' homes across the Northern Rivers
A supportive small-team environment with ongoing clinical support
Individualised supervision and mentoring tailored to your experience and development needs
Flexibility to manage your own calendar and organise your caseload
A strong focus on work-life balance
Opportunity to tailor your caseload to your clinical interests
Opportunity to develop and specialise in areas of Occupational Therapy that interest you
Laptop and mobile phone provided for work purposes
Full time or part-time employment available
Autonomy to work independently while having access to support when you need it
About the role

You will provide Occupational Therapy services to NDIS and Support at Home participants, working alongside clients to support them to achieve their goals and maximise their independence.
We believe clinicians do their best work when they have the opportunity to develop in areas they are genuinely interested in. Where possible, your caseload can be tailored to your clinical interests, allowing you to build experience and develop areas of specialisation that are meaningful to you.
The role involves working with clients in their own homes and community environments, with the flexibility to complete administrative and clinical work from your home office.
About you
Qualified in Occupational Therapy and registered with AHPRA
An experienced OT, new graduate or recent graduate
Enthusiastic and motivated to continue learning and developing professionally
A strong communicator with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working independently while recognising the importance of seeking support when needed
Organised and able to manage their own time and caseload
Passionate about helping people achieve greater independence and quality of life
Interested in developing their own areas of clinical expertise
You will also need
A current NDIS Worker Screening Check,

or willingness to obtain one
A current NSW Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
A current Australian driver's licence
Access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes
Support for Recent and Recent Graduates
If you're a new or recent graduate, you won't be expected to have all the answers.
We provide individualised supervision and mentoring based on your experience, learning needs and clinical interests, rather than a one-size-fits-all graduate program.
Your support can be tailored to help you build confidence, develop clinical skills and progressively work towards greater independence as a clinician.
We believe this approach also benefits experienced OTs, providing an opportunity to continue developing professionally and pursue areas of clinical interest.
