About the role
We're seeking an experienced Print Finisher – Specialist Roll Finishing Operator to join our Healthcare division in Chirnside Park.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll be responsible for operating specialised roll finishing and inspection equipment to produce high-quality finished products for pharmaceutical and healthcare customers. This role requires strong technical capability, attention to detail and a commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing
Setting up, operating and supervising specialised roll finishing and inspection equipment to produce finished products to customer specifications.
Preparing production equipment for print finishing activities, including substrate loading, machine registration, slitting configuration and rewind set-up.
Operating and supervising automated finishing processes to ensure quality, accuracy and production efficiency.
Performing precision finishing activities including inspection, slitting, numbering and other roll-finishing processes.
Selecting and loading materials, inks and consumables into screen printing presses as required to meet job and customer specifications.
Monitoring finished product quality using AVT inspection systems and other quality controls to identify defects and ensure compliance with pharmaceutical and healthcare standards.
Completing production documentation, material records and timesheets accurately and maintaining traceability requirements.
Carrying out routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting equipment issues in collaboration with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams.
Maintaining compliance with cGMP, customer specifications, quality procedures and workplace health and safety requirements..
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years' experience operating complex roll finishing equipment.
Experience setting up, running and cleaning Omega and Draytek machines.
Previous experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
Ability to read, interpret and execute complex customer specifications and production requirements.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Computer literacy and the ability to learn PRISM.
