Roster & Hours
Rotating
6, 8, 10 and 12-hour shifts
24/7 ward environment
including early, late and night shifts
Maximum
80 hours per fortnight
May be required to work across other wards if needed
Essential Requirements
Candidates must:
Have relevant Day Surgery/acute nursing experience
Be
ieMR trained




and confident using the system (highly desirable)
Not be a Queensland Health employee (unless employed casually)
Desirable Experience (2 minimum)
Previous experience in Australia
Previous Queensland Health experience
Previous Mackay HHS experience
Solid knowledge of ieMR
Mandatory Competencies
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Manual & patient handling
Infection control & hand hygiene
Child abuse and neglect mandatory reporting
Occupational Violence Prevention Training
Medication management including QPHS regulations
