Join the Mental Health Acute Care Team (ACT) within the Central Coast Local Health District and play a vital role in supporting people experiencing mental health challenges across the Central Coast community.
About the Opportunity
As a Registered Nurse within the ACT, you will bring your clinical expertise, sound judgement and genuine commitment to consumers and their families to provide acute mental health care, clinical assessment, case management and crisis intervention when it matters most.
This position plays a key role in delivering timely, person-centred acute mental health care, crisis intervention and clinical support to consumers across the Central Coast. In this role you will:
Provide mental health assessment, acute care and crisis intervention to consumers across the Central Coast.
Deliver person-centred, family- and carer-inclusive care that supports recovery, safety and wellbeing.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, consumers, families and external services to coordinate high-quality care.
Apply clinical expertise and evidence-based practice while contributing to quality improvement and professional development.
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with relevant mental health nursing experience.
Recent experience in mental health assessment,



acute care and crisis intervention.
Strong clinical judgement and evidence-based practice, with a commitment to quality improvement.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Resilience, integrity and accountability, with a genuine commitment to person-centred, family- and carer-inclusive care.
