This is a permanent part time (0.8FTE) position commencing Term 1, ****.
Willetton Senior High School (SHS) is one of the largest schools in Western Australia, with a student population in excess of ****, approximately 230 teaching staff, and 145 support staff on campus. We have a vast, diverse student population drawn from diverse geographic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds and offer a range of programs including basketball specialist and Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) and extracurricular activities such as The Duke of Edinburgh Award and international exchange programmes. The Role
The successful applicant should display a deep belief that every student can achieve success and will be committed to fostering high expectations, engagement, and excellence in learning. You should be a reflective practitioner who is committed to continual professional growth and the use of effective, evidence-informed teaching practices to maximise student achievement.



Applicants should possess a strong knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and the ability to deliver engaging and relevant Home Economics programs across Years 7 to 12. Experience teaching, or the capacity and willingness to develop expertise in Food Science and Technology ATAR and/or General, and Certificate II Hospitality will be highly regarded. The successful applicant should display an ability to differentiate curriculum and respond to the diverse learning needs of students while supporting aspirational achievement and pathways to success. As a member of a large and collaborative learning area, you will contribute positively to a culture of professionalism, trust, and teamwork. The successful applicant should value collective efficacy, work effectively with colleagues to develop and refine teaching programmes, and actively contribute to a supportive and collegiate environment focused on continuous improvement and outstanding student outcomes. You will ideally be student-centred, highly motivated, and innovative, with strong interpersonal and classroom management skills. The ability to build positive relationships with students, create engaging learning environments, and motivate learners to achieve their personal best is highly desirable.

be an Australian or New Z- or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
