About the role
The Warehouse Officer will support Metro Mining through accurate and timely receipting/issuing of goods at the Bauxite Hills Mine site, running the warehouse, and managing stock within the warehouse and the Company's ERP system (Pronto). This role will support both the mine and marine functions.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and execute the unloading of barges arriving at site, ensuring that all goods are recorded and stored in a timely manner.
Facilitate the movement of goods around site as well as the requirement for moving goods in and out of site, ensuring that all paperwork/documents are prepared and appropriately attached as required.
Undertake daily fuel dips and accurately complete relevant documentation in a timely manner.
Ensure Smartfill system and key FOBs are appropriately administered at site.
Completion of daily goods issue sheets as well as any other adhoc issues requests.
Maintain warehouse, warehouse office, and surrounding warehouse area to ensure that the areas are kept clean,



organised, and free of any debris.
Timely, consistent, and accurate internal coding, release of purchase orders and receipting.
Monitor purchasing group email, sourcing quotes and raising purchase orders as required with a view of identifying inventory vs non-inventory purchases and following appropriate processes.
Running of expediting reports in Redmap and following up on discrepancies and irregularities.
Running re-order reports in Pronto.
Support maintenance and administrative tasks in Pronto and Redmap as required.
Work closely with the Accounts Payable team and assist with any information requests or requirements in a timely manner.
Performance of regular warehouse cycle counts to ensure accurate recording of inventory.
Support and assist as required in the annual stocktake and any other adhoc stocktakes as required.
Complete of timesheets, daily checklists, daily running sheets and any other work-related documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehousing, preferably in the mining and / or marine industries.
Experience with Pronto or similar ERP systems.
Highly organised and able to deliver results while working on multiple tasks within tight timeframes.
Be able to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven analytical and organisational ability.
Solutions-focussed, and ability to work proactively and autonomously.
Able to work within, support and promote Metro Mining's culture, values and code of conduct.
C Class Driving Licence and Forklift Licence.
First Aid Certificate.
