The Opportunity Due to a solid pipeline of matters, we have an exciting and rewarding growth opportunity for a talented Senior Associate to join our growing Restructuring, Insolvency and Special Situations practice in Sydney. Working closely with partner and national head of the Restructuring & Insolvency practice, Katie Higgins and other senior practitioners within a nationally collaborative team, you will play a key role in acting for global financial institutions, listed and multi-national companies, financiers and insolvency practitioners. You will act on a range of high profile restructuring matters including complex receiverships and workouts, complex financing arrangements, distressed debt, special situations, and corporate insolvancy. The multi-disciplinary nature of this practice gives you the prospect to work with peers and partners in other teams across the firm. This is an exciting time of growth for the team, with opportunities for structured career progression. Skills & Experience
5+ years' PQE gained within a leading commercial law firm;
Excellent academic performance;
Experience in transactional banking or finance, with a desire to pivot expand your skillset into restructuring, would be highly regarded;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to build client relationships and maintain a positive team workplace;
High quality and technically-sound drafting skills, with excellent attention to detail;
A proactive and dedicated approach to client service, with strong time and project management skills;




and Commitment to continuous learning in order to meet evolving client needs.
The Restructuring & Insolvency Practice Group
