About the Opportunity
Working closely with, and reporting to the Engineering Manager, Patrick is seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager to take ownership, lead, and oversee, the management of the Patrick Brisbane Terminal facility and infrastructure. This includes managing day to day maintenance and repair work and assisting with project work of capital upgrades and new purchases.
The incumbent will be an integral part of the engineering and maintenance team, and predominantly work with our contractors to carry out these works. You will work autonomously and have a background and understanding of planned preventive maintenance principles and facilities management.
To be successful in the role, a trades certificate as an electrician would be preferred and have a demonstrated track record working in a heavy industry and facilities management. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good time management and strong computer skills. Being highly competent in the use of our computer maintenance management system (CMMS) is a necessity and experience with MAXIMO, will be advantageous.

Leading the Terminal and infrastructure maintenance and repairs including statutory checks and compliance.
Ensure all contractors comply with our Contractor Management System.
Ensure contractors comply with Patrick safety management process.
Provide contractor supervision including compliance with Patrick safety practices.
Manage all tasks through our Maximo maintenance system.
Complying with Patrick purchasing procedures
About your Experience
To be considered for this opportunity you will possess the following skills and experience:
Electrical Trade certificate preferred
Knowledge of Air conditioning and Fire Systems would be desirable
OH&S; policies and procedures within a Heavy Engineering environment
Minimum 5 yrs experience in maintenance and project works.
Min 5 years' experience in a heavy industry
Demonstrated leadership skills & ability
Experience in the managaing contractors
Competent computer skills and experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent report writing and record keeping ability
Analytical /problem solving and planning skills.
In addition, you must be eligible to obtain an MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card).
