Radiology Victoria (RV) is seeking a
Radiology Billing Officer
to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis at our Head Office based in Melb CBD.
This is a specialist role responsible for the
accurate billing, claiming and reconciliation of radiology services
across our network.
This role would suit someone who
enjoys working autonomously, takes pride in getting the detail right and has a strong healthcare administration background
. If you are an experienced healthcare administrator, medical billing professional or accounts officer looking to develop specialist expertise in radiology billing, this could be an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career.
Whilst this is a full‐time position, we are open to considering part‐time arrangements for the right candidate and can also offer flexibility in the role.
Your responsibilities will include:
Processing complex radiology billing and patient accounts.
Submitting and reconciling Medicare, DVA, private health fund and third party claims.
Reviewing billing information to ensure services are accurately coded and billed.
Identifying, investigating and resolving billing and claiming discrepancies.
Ensuring compliance with Medicare, DVA, private health insurance and organisational billing requirements.
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring tasks are completed within required timeframes.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of billing processes and procedures.
Key Selection Criteria
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Solid analytical and problem‐solving skills.
Previous experience in healthcare administration,



medical billing, accounts or a similar environment.
The ability to work confidently and autonomously.
The ability to interpret information and apply rules and procedures accurately.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Initiative and a willingness to investigate and resolve issues.
A high level of reliability and accountability.
Previous experience in radiology billing or diagnostic imaging.
Knowledge of Medicare and DVA claiming requirements.
Experience with private health insurance billing.
Experience using medical practice management or billing systems.
Knowledge of radiology MBS item numbers and billing rules.
