The Plant Coordinator contributes to Council's operational success by ensuring that plant, fleet, and quarry resources are managed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, while maintaining high standards of legislative compliance, quality assurance, environmental management, and workplace safety.
Through effective coordination and leadership, the position supports the timely delivery of Council's infrastructure maintenance, construction, and service objectives.
Provide strategic and operational support to the Works Section and other operational units within the Engineering Services Department through the effective planning, scheduling, allocation, and monitoring of Council-owned and hired plant and equipment. This includes:
Maximising plant utilisation and operational efficiency across all work programs.
Coordinating plant allocation to ensure the timely delivery of maintenance, construction, and emergency response activities.
Monitoring plant availability, utilisation rates, downtime, and operational performance.
Managing plant hire arrangements and contractor interfaces to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
Identifying opportunities to improve fleet productivity and reduce operational costs.
Supporting long-term plant replacement and fleet management planning.

$1,****** to $1,****** per week + 12% superannuation

38 hours per week with an RDO every second week
