We're looking for a Principal Consultant to join our Canberra team. This senior role is suited to a leader who enjoys solving complex cloud security challenges, developing people, and delivering outcomes in high-trust, high-impact environments.
You'll combine strategic leadership, client delivery and practice development to help grow our Cloud Security & Solutions capability and deliver meaningful outcomes for customers.

What You'll Do
As part of the Cloud Security & Solutions leadership team, you'll help shape and execute the sub-practice strategy in line with market trends and business priorities.
You will:
lead cloud security consulting engagements in line with scope, CyberCX standards and relevant frameworks
manage large,



complex projects, including planning, governance, stakeholder management, risk and quality assurance
build trusted client relationships and deliver high-quality, value-add outcomes
prepare and present transparent, high-quality deliverables for technical and executive audiences
support the development and implementation of practice strategy
establish and maintain governance, reporting and performance mechanisms
identify and lead process improvement initiatives across the practice
mentor consultants, lead training and support capability development
refine services, methodologies and approaches in line with industry trends and emerging threats
contribute to research, innovation and internal capability-building initiatives
work across CyberCX to deliver a seamless client experience
demonstrate CyberCX values in how you lead, deliver and collaborate
What We're Looking For
You will bring:
current IRAP Assessor status
extensive knowledge of, and demonstrated experience applying, the Information Security Manual (ISM)
a Bachelor-level tertiary qualification
ideally, at least one recognised security certification such as CISM, CISA, CISSP or ISO LA/LI
7+ years' experience developing and/or delivering security strategies, policies and frameworks across organisations of varying complexity and maturity
direct experience with cloud technologies and platforms, along with strong knowledge of cloud security principles and practices
proven experience leading, managing, coaching and mentoring teams
strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
the ability to respond to setbacks with agility and resilience
a proactive, organised and detail-oriented approach
