The Beauty Therapist delivers a full range of premium beauty treatments in a busy, social salon environment, including brow sculpting, tinting and lamination, lash lifts and tints, waxing and skin treatments. The role requires strong technical skill, precise attention to detail, and a genuine focus on client experience. They will work confidently across services in a fast-paced setting, take pride in the quality and consistency of their work, and contribute to a close, supportive team culture across both SOAK locations.
Ongoing training and development is provided, with opportunities to expand technical skills and progress within the business as SOAK continues to grow.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Consult with clients to discuss their needs, analyse skin, brow and lash characteristics, and recommend suitable treatments and products
Perform brow sculpting, shaping, tinting and lamination services to a consistently high standard
Perform lash lift and tint treatments in line with client preferences and safety requirements
Perform hair removal treatments including waxing, tinting, bleaching and depilation across face and body
Perform facial and skin treatments, including skin analysis, product selection and treatment recommendations tailored to individual client needs
Perform body treatments, including massage, where required and within the therapist's skill set
Apply general and corrective cosmetic make-up for client bookings, events and special occasions
Evaluate beauty therapy processes, techniques and products,



and select the most appropriate option for each client
Maintain strict hygiene, sterilisation and infection-control standards for all tools, equipment and treatment rooms
Provide clients with home-care and maintenance advice, and recommend and sell suitable retail beauty products
Receive bookings, manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate, up-to-date client treatment records
Work collaboratively with team members across the South Yarra and Elwood salons, supporting a positive and qualified client experience
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to expand technical skills and keep pace with new SOAK services and industry techniques
Comply with workplace health and safety requirements and relevant beauty industry regulations and codes of practice
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required
Certificate III or Certificate IV in Beauty Services (or equivalent AQF qualification), or substantial relevant industry experience gained in a professional salon setting.
Demonstrated experience delivering brow, lash, waxing, skin and facial treatments to a premium service standard
Sound working knowledge of skin analysis, infection control procedures and appropriate product selection
High level of manual dexterity, precision and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine, client-focused approach to service
Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced, high-volume salon environment
Reliability, professionalism and a collaborative approach to working within a close-knit team
Current
First Aid certificate (desirable)
