About Amberfield
LDK Seniors Living's newest premium village, Amberfield, is located on Cotter Road in Weston, in Canberra's inner south. It is a short driving distance to Yarralumla, Curtin and Woden town centre. About the role
Join our Hospitality team as a Chef de Partie and help deliver fresh, high-quality meals with Love, Decency and Kindness. Working alongside our kitchen leadership team, you will assist with food preparation and cooking, maintain excellent hygiene standards and provide friendly, professional service to our residents.
Role responsibilities
Prepare, cook, portion, present and serve a range of quality meals and food items.
Support the Sous Chef and Executive Chef with food preparation,
cooking and day-to-day kitchen operations.
Run a designated section within the commercial kitchen and complete preparation and order lists.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with relevant regulations and LDK standards.
Assist with stock management, including labelling, storing, picking and dispatching goods and meals.
Use and maintain kitchen equipment appropriately while contributing to a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Certificate III in Kitchen Operations, Hospitality (Cookery) or equivalent experience is desirable.
Previous experience in commercial catering, food services or a commercial kitchen environment.
Experience running a kitchen section and completing preparation and order lists.
Strong understanding of food handling, hygiene practices and food safety requirements.
Food Handler Certificate and knowledge of State Food Safety Regulations are desirable.
Awareness of the dietary requirements of older people and experience preparing meals from fresh ingredients is desirable.
A positive, service-focused approach with robust self-management, problem-solving, adaptability and ability to work collaboratively.
