WM Waste Management is an Australian family-owned business that has been servicing our community for over 40 years. We are committed to providing productive and safe rubbish collection services to Melbourne's Southeast and across other parts of Victoria and southern New South Wales.
Our services include skip bin hire, servicing residential customers, businesses and major state projects, and hard waste collections where we work with local councils all over Victoria to provide both Area Wide and At Call hard waste services. We also do bulk mattress collections for businesses and councils across Victoria and parts of New South Wales.
About the Role
We are currently seeking a qualified Auto Electrician to join our workshop team based at our Boronia location. This role is responsible for wiring new truck bodies, creating universal wiring looms and kits, fault finding, diagnosing and repairing electrical systems across our fleet of trucks, vehicles and equipment to ensure maximum reliability and operational performance.
This is a full-time position with overtime opportunities and a rotating Saturday roster.
About the Role:
Diagnose, fault find and repair electrical faults across a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment
Create universal wiring looms, harnesses and electrical kits
Complete custom wiring, electrical modifications and general auto electrical work
Wire up vehicles, truck bodies and auxiliary equipment, including new body installations
Install, service and maintain vehicle electronics and electrical systems, including custom wiring
Create universal wiring looms and kits and complete general auto electrical work, preventative maintenance, repairs and modifications as required
Maintain accurate service records and ensure all work is completed safely
About you:
Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology
Grade Qualified Auto Electrician with demonstrated industry experience
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills (highly regarded)
Experience working on heavy vehicles, trucks, plant or commercial fleets is desirable
Current driver's licence (HR licence advantageous)
Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and maintain a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship
