Advanced Targeted Therapies (Biologics) Nurse
We have an exciting part-time (2 days per week) opportunity for a qualified DIV 1 nurse to join our Advanced Targeted Therapies (ATT) nursing team. This position will suit a candidate with dermatology nursing or other relevant experience with demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team workplace. The ATT Services at SHI offers specialist services for patients with inflammatory skin conditions, including moderate to severe Psoriasis, Atopic Dermatitis and Hidradenitis Suppurativa, and partners with outpatient clinics at St Vincent's Hospital.
Key responsibilities
In collaboration with the ATT nursing team coordinate the care of a selected dermatology patient population across the health care continuum within SHI and in partnership with outpatient clinics at St Vincent's Hospital
Liaise with dermatologists/registrars to ensure timely completion of patient treatment plans, skin assessment, PBS applications and compassionate applications, investigations/safety monitoring and admission prevention
Deliver education of patients, relatives and carers regarding disease process, treatment planning, treatment adherence, drug management and administration
Provide telephone help line for patients, relatives, carers, and other health care providers
About you
Division 1 Registered Nurse with 3 years post graduate experience
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team
Demonstrated provision of high-quality patient care
Advanced assessment, problem solving, critical thinking and organisational skills
Well-developed clinical reasoning skills and capacity to work independently
High motivation and willingness to learn
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and track record of building positive working relationships
High level of reliability and professional conduct
Demonstrated ability to be innovative, resourceful, and adaptive to change
Willingness to work flexible hours when required
Flexibility to work across multiple service centres
Windows based computer skills including Microsoft Office
Experience in Biologics nursing is highly desirable
