is currently seeking an experienced
HSEQ Coordinator
to join a growing specialist infrastructure business based in
Southeast Melbourne
. This is a Monday to Friday position and is predominantly head office based, focused on managing HSEQ systems, compliance, documentation and continuous improvement, with some site involvement as required. The role would suit an experienced HSEQ professional who enjoys the systems and coordination side of HSEQ while still maintaining a connection with operational teams and projects.
The Role
Reporting to senior management, you will take ownership of the company's HSEQ systems and processes, ensuring they remain compliant, effective and fit for purpose.
Manage and maintain the company's HSEQ systems and documentation.
Maintain and improve ISO ****, ISO ***** and ISO ***** systems.
Coordinate internal and external audits and accreditation requirements.
Manage HSEQ documentation, policies, procedures and registers.
Develop and review SWMS, JHAs and other operational documentation.
Coordinate risk assessments and corrective actions.
Assist with incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
Monitor contractor and subcontractor HSEQ compliance.
Provide HSEQ support and advice to project and operational teams.
Conduct periodic site inspections and compliance reviews.
Monitor HSEQ performance and prepare reporting for management.
Identify and implement ongoing HSEQ improvements.
Support the business in maintaining a robust and proactive HSEQ culture.
About You
We are looking for an experienced HSEQ professional with a strong understanding of
HSEQ systems, compliance and documentation
, ideally within a civil construction, utilities, water/wastewater or infrastructure environment.
Previous experience in an HSEQ Coordinator or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Victorian OHS and environmental legislation.
Experience with ISO ****, ISO ***** and ISO *****.
Strong HSEQ systems and documentation experience.
Experience with audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
Experience managing contractor and subcontractor compliance.
The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of HSEQ processes.
Experience across
water, sewer, pressure sewer, pipelines or underground utilities
will be highly regarded.
