What you'll be doing
As a Medical Radiation Scientist (Diagnostic Radiographer) Level 3 Grade 2, you will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services while demonstrating advanced clinical expertise across a range of complex procedures.
This role combines clinical excellence with a strong commitment to education, patient care and service improvement.
Perform diagnostic imaging examinations and procedures in accordance with professional standards, legislation and departmental policies
Deliver exceptional patient-focused care by informing, supporting and reassuring patients throughout their imaging journey
Apply advanced clinical knowledge and technical expertise to manage complex imaging cases in a fast-paced environment
Educate, mentor and support students, graduates and colleagues through coordinated teaching and training activities within your area of expertise
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise service delivery, maintain safe practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

License: NSW EPA Radiation Licence IA14
Qualification: Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience in a minimum of two imaging modalities.
Demonstrate a high level of competency and consistent high level of practice in area of expertise in a busy hospital environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to solve clinical situations and to develop effective solutions.
Demonstrated clinical expertise through development of protocols, clinical reviews and delivery of in-services and presentations.
Demonstrated ability to supervise and assist with the on-going education and training of MRS' colleagues, across modalities, including complex clinical procedures.
To meet Grade 2 criteria, the candidate must possess a post graduate certificate in a relevant area of specialisation. For Level 3 Grade 1 applicants, please note as NOT APPLICABLE to this criteria.
