This is a hands‐on associate role working directly on live deals to learn the full mortgage process from start to finish under an owner who is a strong teacher. With the right attitude and effort, you can be writing your own deals as a mortgage broker within six months.
Key responsibilities
Credit analysis of client files
Servicing calculations
Review of financials, income, and supporting documents
Preparing files for submission to lenders
Pushing applications through to approval
Chasing settlements and clearing conditions
Post-settlement management and client follow‐up
Supporting the broker on live transactions so you learn how a deal is actually won and closed
About you
Someone who wants to be developed into a broker, not just fill a support seat




Strong attention to detail and comfort with numbers
Explicit communication and the drive to follow a file until it settles
A willingness to learn quickly and take ownership of tasks
Prior finance, banking, or client‐facing experience is useful but not required if the attitude is right
Direct training from the owner across the full deal cycle
A clear path from associate work to writing your own loans
KPIs tied to commission, plus referral incentives built into the role
Scope to grow into future roles as the business expands
