Operate batch chemical and polymer coating manufacturing processes to achieve safe, consistent and on-time production in accordance with Quality and Safety systems. The role includes raw material preparation and charging, mixing, batch processing, filling and packaging, while ensuring materials are available to meet the production schedule. Key responsibilities
Operate batch mixing, chemical processing, pumping, filling and packaging equipment safely and in accordance with operating procedures.
Ensure products are manufactured to specification and complete production/batch records accurately.
Prepare, measure and charge raw materials and support material availability in line with the production schedule.
Participate in continuous improvement, 5S and process improvement activities to improve safety, quality, productivity and reduce waste.
Support the introduction of new equipment, process automation and future plant improvement projects, including training on new systems.
About you
Solid understanding of OH&S; and Quality Assurance processes and procedures, with a safety-first approach.
Experience in chemical, polymer, coatings, paint, resin, adhesive, blending or similar process manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
Relevant Certificate II/III, trade, technical or process-manufacturing qualification will be highly regarded - particularly Certificate III in Process Plant Operations or Certificate III in Process Manufacturing, or equivalent.
Current forklift licence is preferred,



or willingness to obtain a licence through training.
Takes accountability for their work, follows procedures and is willing to learn from experienced operators and technical team members.
Proven track record of being reliable and punctual, with good communication and teamwork skills.
Ambitious self-starter with an interest in manufacturing technology, process improvement and developing broader plant skills.
Able to carry out manual handling duties and work safely in an industrial chemical manufacturing environment.
