Title: Injury Prevention & Health Specialist
Location: Sydney, NSW, AU, ****
The Opportunity
This is a permanent full-time role where you will be responsible for supporting injured employees to return to work, and provide health and hygiene compliance support and advice to operational management. You will facilitate injury prevention programs, physical and mental health initiatives and maximise company health management performance through engagement, training, monitoring, investigation and continuous improvement.
Although you will support our NSW business, you will work as part of a broader national Injury Prevention & Health team.

What you'll be responsible for
Assisting injured employees to return to work following injuries, and the ability to work with internal operational teams and the Veolia self-insurance team to achieve a successful outcome. Working with our external clients and labour hire organisations to ensure injuries are effectively managed once reported and employees return to work on suitable duties plans
Management of the WA workers compensation portfolio
Designing,
coordinating and implementing specific strategies in injury prevention and wellbeing based on health risk factor reduction
Quality review of specific risk-based pre-employment and periodic medical assessments
Identify and report on key risk factors related to employee health and wellbeing
What you'll need to be successful
Extensive industry experience in a similar position and comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of WA workers compensation legislation
Formal Return to Work Coordinator (RTW) qualification (desired)
Graduate qualifications in a Health related field such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise science, health management, nursing (desired)
