Remuneration is on a percentage billing model
Melbourne or regional physicians able to provide telephone advice and onsite reviews Weekly (on a Thursday or Friday) encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will benefit from access to established referral pathways, peer support, billing and administrative support and streamlined on-referral pathways for diagnostic procedures and multi-disciplinary discussions.

Role Description
This role is based at Epworth Geelong Hospital, VIC and involves comprehensive respiratory physician duties,



including consults working collaboratively to provide continuity of care and support for inpatient and referring practitioners. The Physician will assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including ward consults and in clinic. There is opportunity to cover existing practice patients.
Responsibilities may include ordering and interpreting investigations such as imaging, lung function tests, and laboratory studies, and developing individualized treatment plans. The role may also include outpatient clinics, follow-up reviews, and contributing to discharge planning and continuity of care.
Mandatory qualities
Current medical registration with the appropriate Australian regulatory body and specialist qualification in respiratory medicine (or equivalent), with eligibility for credentialing in a hospital setting.
Demonstrated experience in managing acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including inpatient care, ventilatory support, and complex comorbidities.
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills, including proficiency in interpreting imaging, pulmonary function tests, and relevant investigations.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
