Founding AI Engineer (Full-Time / Internship) - Brisbane/Gold Coast
40+hrs /week
We're bringing on 1-2 founding engineers to accelerate and take ownership in shipping our product to market. You'll work directly with the founder, shape the architecture, and ship features used by real creators from day one.This job involves a short initial trial period to ensure there's a strong mutual fit before establishing a permanent full time role. This position is ideal if you are high-performing, free thinking and are a fast learner, comfortable across a diverse tech stack.
responsibilities
Agentic architecture and orchestration: Design and evolve the core agentic architecture that powers the product - Including enhancing our existing AI agent workflows, endpoints, gateways and tool orchestration layers to improve structured reasoning, and multi-agent collaboration.
Multimodal AI and media understanding: Advance how our agents perceive and reason about both video and audio.



You will work closely with VLMs, audio models and cross-modal retrieval.
Backend infrastructure and scaling: Job queues, storage and processing pipelines, cloud services, deployment. Build the systems that let us scale video rendering and AI editing to a large user base.
MLOps and LLMOps: End-to-end pipelines including CI/CD, observability, model lifecycle, and cost governance.
Cloud-native deployment: Deploy and optimise AI workloads on Kubernetes and Azure, with an eye on latency, throughput, and unit economics.

Our Tech Stack: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Python, FastAPI, LangGraph, Supabase (Postgres + pgvector), Redis, Cloudflare R2, FFmpeg, Vercel.
You must be someone who:- Is a rapid learner and can quickly develop skills in a new tech stack- Must be curious and want to work in an early stage start up, especically for the media industry.- A free thinker, shipping features without hand holding. If you need highly structured tasks and constant direction, this isn't the right role for you- Strong experience with AI, full stack development, RAG/embeddings or backend infrastructure scaling- Goes above and beyond (We want to see personal projects, academic achievements or competition results)If you design aware (great UX/UI understanding), this is a strong bonus.If you have a genuine passion for creative tools involving video editing this is also a bonus.
