We are seeking a highly motivated and hands on Maintenance Fitter/Production 2IC to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the Brooklyn, VIC tyre-retreading facility.
You will need to be a qualified fitter and have experience in a production/manufacturing supervisory level role, and while not necessary, tyre retreading experience would be an advantage.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will support the day-to-day operations of the retread facility, including equipment maintenance, leadership & training. This role will require you to work on the factory floor as part of the production team to ensure we consistently meet strict safety, production & quality targets.

Roles/Responsibilities
Manage breakdown and preventive maintenance of all plant & equipment, including site facilities,
Ensure all maintenance and breakdown issues are tracked and documented,




Support the Production Manager to run daily production safely and efficiently, ensuring company's targets are being met consistently,
Lead, coach, and develop factory team to achieve safety, quality, and production targets,
Run toolbox meetings covering safety, production, quality, operational matters and continuous-improvement ideas,
Coordinate contractors and vendors on matters relating to plant, equipment, facilities and process improvement,
Lead process-improvement activities and equipment installation, commissioning, decommissioning, removal and disposal.
To be successful in this role you must possess the following:
Valid Driver's license & Forklift license or ability to obtain one;
Knowledge of pneumatic systems;
Computer literacy across Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel;
Previous supervisory experience;
Willing to undergo a police check and drug & alcohol test - Essential.
