An outstanding opportunity has become available for an experienced External Audit Manager to join the Brisbane team of a highly regarded accounting and advisory firm.
This is more than simply another Audit Manager position. The firm is looking for someone who can become an important part of the future leadership team, with a genuine opportunity to progress towards Director and Partner level.
You'll join an established Brisbane practice with a close-knit team and direct access to Partners, while also benefiting from the resources and opportunities of a major international accounting network.
The Brisbane office is based in the CBD and operates across Audit & Assurance, Business Advisory, Corporate Advisory & Tax.
The Role
You'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of external audit engagements while leading and developing a team.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing external audit engagements from planning through to completion
Managing a varied portfolio of clients across multiple industries
Building strong, long-term relationships with key clients
Reviewing audit files and ensuring high technical standards
Managing engagement budgets, workflow and deadlines
Coaching, mentoring and developing junior and senior audit staff
Working closely with Partners on complex engagements
Identifying opportunities to strengthen and grow client relationships
Contributing to the ongoing development of the Audit division
Progressively taking on greater leadership and commercial responsibility
About You
We're looking for someone with:
Strong Australian External Audit experience
Previous experience at Manager level, or an experienced Assistant Manager ready to step up
CA or CPA qualification
Strong technical audit and financial reporting knowledge
Experience managing multiple engagements and deadlines
Confidence dealing directly with senior clients
Strong people leadership and mentoring capability
Commercial awareness and an interest in developing client relationships
The ambition to continue progressing towards senior leadership and potentially Partnership
