What are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced
Senior LegalAssistant
to join our Motor Vehicle Accident Compensation team in Werribee.This is a permanent, full-time role with
flexible working arrangementsavailable.
You will provide high-quality legal andadministrative support across a varied caseload, while building trustedrelationships with clients, lawyers, and external stakeholders.
What you will do
Support lawyers acrossstatutory benefits, impairment benefit and common law matters.
Manage general fileadministration and assist with progressing matters.
Provide professional,empathetic, and responsive support to clients.
Communicate with clients,insurers, barristers' clerks and medico-legal providers.
Coordinate client,medico-legal, settlement conference and mediation appointments.
Prepare legal correspondenceand compile court documents for the County Court and Supreme Court ofVictoria.
Prepare matters forsettlement conferences and hearings, particularly Serious InjuryApplications.
Manage lawyers' diaries andcompeting deadlines.
Mentor and train legalsupport staff.
Contribute to the efficientand positive operation of the wider Victorian Work & Road team.
What will you bring?
Previous experience in legalsupport, preferably as a Legal Assistant or Senior Legal Assistant.
Strong writtencommunication, drafting and proofreading skills.

A professional, empatheticand client-focused approach.
Confidence communicatingwith clients and a range of internal and external stakeholders.

You must be available to work 38 hours per week,Monday to Friday, between 8.30 am and 5.00 pm.
