Full-Time | Melbourne, VIC
$80,000–$90,000 + Super
Flexible schedule | Some Interstate Travel
I'm looking for a full-time Personal Videographer / Content Shooter to work directly alongside me and capture my day-to-day life for social media.
This isn't a traditional videography role where you'll be sitting in an office editing content all day.
Your main job is simple: be there, have the camera ready, and capture what's happening.
You'll follow me throughout the week filming a mixture of business, lifestyle, behind-the-scenes, meetings, events, travel, gym sessions and anything else worth capturing.
All footage will be uploaded to Google Drive and sent to our remote editing team, so
no editing is required for this role.
What you'll be doing
Filming day-to-day content throughout the week
Capturing natural, unscripted and behind-the-scenes moments
Shooting content suitable for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and other social platforms
Capturing both short-form and long-form footage
Making sure audio, framing and footage quality are consistently strong
Organising and uploading footage to Google Drive for our editing team
Moving between different locations around Melbourne depending on the day
Occasionally travelling interstate for shoots, events, business trips and other content opportunities
Interstate travel will come up from time to time.
Travelling isn't compulsory for every trip, but someone who is happy and able to travel when required would be ideal.
Who I'm looking for
More than anything, I'm looking for the
right personality and someone I get along with.
We're going to be spending a lot of time together, sometimes from early morning through to late at night, so you need to be easy-going, reliable and comfortable being around people all day.
You'll ideally be someone who:
Is relaxed, easy-going and has a good sense of humour
Is reliable and turns up when they say they will
Is flexible with working hours and locations
Understands social media and what makes good content
Knows when to keep filming without needing constant direction
Can recognise interesting or entertaining moments as they're happening
Is confident operating a professional camera
Ideally owns a quality camera setup already
Ideally has a driver's licence and reliable car
Can comfortably travel around Melbourne to different filming locations
Is happy to occasionally travel interstate
Is comfortable working around businesses, employees, events and members of the public
You don't need to be an experienced editor, social media manager or marketing expert.
I already have people handling the editing and distribution. I need someone who is great behind the camera and can consistently capture everything happening around me.
The schedule
This is a
full-time position
, but it isn't necessarily a standard Monday–Friday, 9–5 role.
My schedule changes from week to week. Some days may start earlier, some may finish later, and filming locations will regularly change.
Because of this, I'm looking for someone who wants to make this their primary role and has the flexibility to work around a changing weekly schedule.
There will also be quieter periods and flexibility provided where possible.
Equipment
Having your own professional camera and equipment is preferred, but
it's not a deal-breaker for the right person.
If you're a great fit for the role and have the skills and attitude we're looking for, equipment can be discussed.
What matters most
I'm not necessarily looking for the person with the biggest resume.
I'm looking for someone who is
reliable, switched‐on, easy to spend time with and genuinely enjoys creating content.
If you're the type of person who can pick up a camera, come along for the ride and naturally capture great moments without making everything feel staged, you'll probably suit this role.
