About the Role
Cairns Early Learning in Paramatta Park, QLD, is seeking a
passionate and dedicated Second Early Childhood Teacher (ECT)
to join our vibrant and nurturing team.
As our Second ECT, you will work alongside our Early Childhood Teachers and Educators to support the delivery of a high-quality early learning program. You will play an key role in supporting children's learning, development, wellbeing and individual needs while contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.
This is a
part-time position
, with flexible working arrangements available.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting the planning, implementation and evaluation of engaging educational programs aligned with the
Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
Working collaboratively with the Lead ECT and educator team to provide high-quality early learning experiences
Creating a safe, secure, inclusive and stimulating environment where children feel valued and supported
Building strong, respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues
Observing, documenting and contributing to children's learning and development
Supporting children's individual learning needs, interests and strengths
Maintaining active supervision and ensuring children's health, safety and wellbeing are prioritised at all times
Contributing to compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, National Quality Standards and centre policies and procedures




Participating in team meetings, career development and ongoing quality improvement
Working positively and collaboratively as part of our team
What We're Looking For
A
Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood/Early Years 0–5)
or equivalent recognised qualification, or be currently working towards the qualification
Experience working in an early childhood education and care environment
Knowledge and understanding of the
Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
A solid understanding of play-based learning and child development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing
A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment
A current
Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
at the time of application
Australian citizenship or permanent residency

We are looking for a passionate ECT to become a part of our Cairns Early Learning as our 2nd ECT.
Our centre is family-owned and operated and offers above-award wages for all Educators.
Located in the Cairns CBD, our servicehas a community feel and a strong commitment to providing early education and care of a high standard. We are looking for someone who is confident to work within a team environment, having qualified relationships and communication with families and co-workers to provide children with a positive and nurturing early childhood experience.
Working with children check (Blue card)
Current First Aid and CPR
Bachelor or Masters of Teaching (Early Childhood) or working towards.
Knowledge of NQS and EYLF/QKLG.
